Our vision
November 2022Imagine if all collected data were available to solve the major societal problems of our time. That we could achieve this with that data:
- The best care in the right place, without overburdening our healthcare system. So that your mother gets exactly the right care, close by.
- Accelerate the energy transition without leaving others out in the cold. So that your (grand)children grow up on a safe and healthy planet.
- A government that unburdens and helps its citizens. So that the government works for you, and you don’t get tangled up in policies and rules.
That sounds good, right? But how feasible is it? The data you need for a specific problem are fragmented across all kinds of different organizations. Often also personal, sensitive or secret. How do you prevent misuse? And if you have part of the data, how do you maintain control over your data? And finally: how do you know if sensitive data is being handled ethically?
That’s what we at Linksight solve. Our software allows organizations to set up privacy-by-design data collaborations, in which participants gain data-driven insights together, without having to share the underlying data. Not with each other, and not with us. And always transparent about who has used which data.
With our software, our customers jointly determine the mutual rules of the game. They remain fully in control of their data collaborations and can enforce and monitor who does what, using their data. We call this “data collaboration governance”.
Within those agreements, they can perform privacy-by-design data analyses. We use the latest scientific breakthroughs in privacy technology: secure multiparty computation and homomorphic encryption.
We are already helping to solve these challenges in various sectors:
- Healthcare organizations in Delft, Zeeland and the Achterhoek use our software to jointly understand how elderly care can be better organized. They combine data from care providers, municipalities and health insurers.
- We work with academic hospitals and insurers to improve treatments for cancer and cardiovascular diseases based on new insights from combined “real-world” data.
- For 2 government parties, we created a solution to use each other’s data when making joint predictions.
- We help farmers and provincial government to set up and monitor local, short food chains, making it even more attractive to eat local food.
