Linksight works on the Integrated Regional Data Infrastructure Achterhoek (GERDA)

November 2022

Linksight is working together with Population Health Data NL and 8RHK gezond to realize a regional, privacy-by-design healthcare data infrastructure for the Achterhoek region.

This enables data analysis in the Achterhoek region on data from different healthcare silos. Elderly care, hospital care, home care, and youth care are organized differently and financed differently. Healthcare is under pressure. To continue providing the residents of Achterhoek with the right care in the right place, collaboration and optimization across these boundaries will be necessary.

Until now, this has been very difficult. Only when data from these silos can be combined can parties truly gain insight into the status of combined care in the Achterhoek region. Based on this, they can jointly agree on policies that are based on shared objectives. By continuously measuring, the effects of these policies can also be mapped. This creates a flywheel of regional, data-driven improvement of care, ultimately benefiting the patient.

To realize this vision, we are initially connecting 6 parties to the Linksight network, from hospitals to elderly care. They will create regional overviews together, agree on shared KPIs, and continuously monitor and improve. If successful, the network can be further scaled up. The participants in the pilot are:

  • Slingeland Hospital
  • Sensire Home Care
  • Huisartsenzorg Oude IJssel
  • NAAST elderly care
  • Marga Klompé elderly care
  • GGD Noord- en Oost Gelderland

Prior to the start of this project, this consortium wrote two whitepapers that provide good background on their goals and ambitions.
